JKSSB JE Exam Postponed! The exam date had been announced for the OMR/CBT previously. JKSSB JE Recruitment (Jal Shakti Dept) Notification is out. The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has recently released a recruitment notification for District/Divisional/UT Cadre posts of various departments. Under this recruitment, a total of 65 vacancies have been released. The JKSSB had also previously released 174 vacancies for the Public Works(R&B) Department.
- A total of 65 vacancies have been released recently for the Civil Engg stream in the Jal Shakti Dept.
- The interested candidates can apply by submitting online applications on the JKSSB official online portal.
- The online applications were active from 24th February 2021 and the last date to apply was 23rd March 2021. The application process for Public Works Dept vacancies is completed.
- The applicants will be selected based on merit obtained in the written examination.
- The pay scale of the selected candidates will be Level-6 (Rs. 35400/- to Rs. 112400/-).

12th May 2021: JKSSB JE Exam Postponed!
The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has announced that the JKSSB JE exam has been postponed. The board has taken this decision due to the surge of COVID-19 in the stage. The exam was previously announced to be conducted on 24th, 25th & 27th May 2021. However, the exam has now been postponed. The new exam date will be announced on the official website soon. Candidates are advised to visit the official website for regular updates. Also, check the official notification for the same attached below.

The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has announced the JKSSB JE (Civil) exam dates on the official website. The board has released an official notification stating that the exam will be conducted on 24th, 25th & 27th May 2021. 12th January 2021: JKSSB JE (PW Dept) Tentative Exam Dates Announced!
The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has announced the JKSSB JE (Civil/Mechanical) Tentative exam dates on the official website. The commission has released the tentative exam calendar notification. The JKSSB JE exam is scheduled to be held from 20th to 25th May 2021. JKSSB JE Recruitment Apply Online
The interested candidates can apply for the posts under Jal Shakri Dept between 24th February to 23rd March 2021. The applications must be submitted through online mode only.
Step 1: Proceed to “Candidate Registration” in case of new candidates.
Step 2: Submit basic details like email ID, contact number, name, etc., and generate your login credentials.
Step 3: After logging in, look for the "Apply Online" link for the JE post under "Latest Openings".
Step 4: Provide data across all the various sections and click on “Save & Continue”.
Step 5: The candidates will have to upload the recent photograph and signature as per the given format. The candidates can use the Testbook Resize Tool.
Step 6: The applicants will have to pay an application fee of Rs 350/-. The payment can be done through internet banking or credit/debit card.
Step 7: After the final submission, print the application form/ fee receipt for future reference.

The applicants must satisfy eligibility conditions which are defined in terms of education, age, and domicile.

- Three years Diploma in Civil/Mechanical(For JE Mechanical) Engineering from Govt. recognized Institute OR
- Degree in Civil Engineering or AMIE Section (A&B) India.

C. Domicile
The applicant must be a domicile of the J&K UT as per the definition in terms of the Notifications issued by the MoHA vide S.O 1229 (E) dated 31- 03-2020 and S.O 1245(E) dated 03-04-2020 read with the General Administration Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s S.O 166 dated 18-05-2020.

JKSSB JE Exam Pattern 2021
The JKSSB will soon release the details on the exam pattern and syllabus for the written exam. The following details have been released as of now:
- The questions will be set in the English language only.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Only Objective Type, multiple-choice questions will be asked in the exam
- Marks scored by candidates in the written test will be normalized if required, to determine final merit and cut-off marks.

JKSSB JE Admit Card 2021
The admit card release date is yet to be announced for the JKSSB JE Recruitment 2021. The admit cards will be issued for the accepted applications approximately one week before the date of examination. There will be separate admit cards for the PWD Department and the Jal Shakti Department. The candidates will have to download the admit card from the website of JKSSB as it will not be sent to them through the post. It is mandatory to bring the Admit Card to the examination hall. Given below are the steps to download the admit card.
Step 1: Go to the website of JKSSB.
Step 2: Go to the home page.
Step 3: You will find many links. Under the heading of “What’s New” click on the link of “Downloading of Admit Card” for the post and the department, you have applied for.
Step 4: Enter your details and click on ‘Print Admit Card’.
